STATE v. CT
Result : Probation revoked and terminated without penalty
Client was on probation for two counts of carrying a concealed firearm, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana. Tampa criminal lawyer Jason Mayberry did not represent his Client when he originally pled to those charges. Client lost his job, and as a result was evicted from his home. Because of the eviction and without a place to go, our client was rendered homeless. Upon eviction client returned to his home state where he lived in harmony with the law for nearly 20 years, all the while working and raising a family. Due to absconding to his home state years before, a warrant was issued for our Client for violating his felony probation for failing to appear at a probation meeting and for failing to update his probation officer as to his whereabouts. Client was ultimately picked up at his home for a separate incident and detained in his home state prior to being transferred to Florida to answer his violation of probation warrant. Upon hire, Tampa criminal attorney Jason Mayberry successfully attended CT’s VOP hearing where the Judge terminated Client’s probation.
STATE v. CM

Client was on probation for Grand Theft, four counts of Grand Theft Auto, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Uttering a Forged Instrument and Obtaining Lodging with Intent to Defraud. Client was pulled over and arrested for driving with a suspended license with knowledge and a violation of probation in Hillsborough County. Tampa criminal lawyer Jason Mayberry was retained. Tampa criminal lawyer Mayberry advised our client to enter an admission to the VOP. An admission was entered at arraignment and a request was made that probation be reinstated and Client be released immediately. Jason Mayberry cited Client’s excellent relationship with his probation officer and that Client had completed most probationary terms. Facing up to 35 years in Florida State Prison, Client’s probation was reinstated, and Client was immediately released from custody.
STATE v. GS
